"Oct. 13, 1878. Baptized Grant R. Meigs, son of Ruel and Anna Meigs, born Nov. 18, 1866. Sponsors: Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Daboll.

Oct. 26, 1887. At 3 P.M., at residence of Joseph Goreth, Lysander, m. Grant R. Meigs of Van Buren and Miss Louise P. Goreth, daughter of Joseph and Lucinda Goreth. Witnesses: Mrs. Harriet A. Daboll and Frank R. Goreth.

Died - Meigs.

"Grant Ruel Meigs, 81, d. at his home in Syracuse, Friday. A member of Grace Episcopal Church, this village, he was holder of a 25 year membership pin from Mohegan Lodge 29, IOOF. He is survived by a son Frank; a grandson, Paul; two nieces, Mrs. Anna Snell of Syracuse, and Mrs. Louise Flansburg of Weedsport. Services were held Monday in Syracuse with interrment in Riverview cemetery." (He d. Aug. 27, 1948).

At the home of her son, Frank Meigs, 117 Duane Street, Syracuse, N.Y., on Sunday, December 8, 1946, Mrs. Louise Goreth Meigs, aged 79 years, wife of Grant Meigs, 101 Elliot Street, Syracuse, N.Y. Besides her husband and son, she is survived by a brother, Frank Goreth, and one grandson, Paul Meigs. Funeral services were held at her son's home last Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. M. Thompson officiating. Interment was made in Riverview cemetery.
